It is our purpose at the Magic Zoo to provide unique, high quality jewelry that our customers will wear and enjoy giving as gifts. We want each shopper to be happy with their purchase and with the service they receive from us.
Your satisfaction is guaranteed on any item purchased from The Magic Zoo.
Returns on Silver, Enamel and Pewter jewelry
If you are not satisfied with your Magic Zoo sterling silver, enamel or pewter jewelry purchase for any reason whatsoever, return it to us within 30 days of receipt for a 100% refund of the purchase price. We only ask that any item returned be in its original condition. The purchase price and any sales tax will be included in the refund; shipping costs are not included. Please package jewelry so that it will arrive securely and undamaged and insure it for its full value. (We cannot refund money for jewelry that does not arrive back to us- a regular business envelope is not an acceptable shipping method! Use bubble wrap mailers or boxes and insure them) Be sure to include a copy of your receipt or include your name, address, phone, email and your cost for the piece(s) and date of your purchase.
Keep in mind that the colored enamel-like jewelry items are hand painted individually and may differ slightly in color and design from the ones displayed in our online store. These differences are what make your Magic Zoo jewelry unique! Also, due to differences in computer monitors, items that you order may not match exactly the color shown on your screen.
Note that these pieces are painted pewter jewelry and they may contain small amounts of lead. Often, even lead free pewter jewelry (which mine is) contains traces of lead if it was cast using the same equipment as leaded pewter. (Somewhat like the machines that process peanuts might put a trace of peanuts into the next product.) Cast pewter is totally safe to wear; it presents a possible hazard only if ingested and should not be sucked on or swallowed. We feel neither the pewter jewelry nor the enamel painted pewter jewelry should be given to a child who tends to put things in his or her mouth. Returns on 14K Gold Jewelry
There are no total refunds on any Magic Zoo gold jewelry, because each piece is custom cast and finished just for you. Some of my customers order a gold design first in sterling silver. That way they can examine it close up, and the sterling silver piece may be returned for a 100% refund before ordering the same piece in 14K gold.
If you are not happy with a gold design, you can still return it, but there is a 30% restocking fee. This means that you will be refunded 70% of your purchase price.
The returned gold piece must be insured, and it must arrive undamaged. You will be refunded 70% of the purchase price when the undamaged gold piece is received.
Returns on Polymer Clay Custom Jewelry
Merry has always had a satisfaction guaranteed policy on her custom polymer clay work and will re-do a custom piece for you at no charge if you are not 100% happy with it. In the very rare case that the second design is still not to your satisfaction, then a refund will be given of the full purchase price.
The handmade polymer clay name badges (not the pewter animal badges) are created for you individually by Merry and will most definitely differ somewhat from the one that is displayed. However, the overall look of the piece will resemble the one you see in her online store. It has always been her policy to repair any damaged polymer clay animal jewelry or clay animals on a name badge at no charge to the customer. We realize they sometimes badges get heavy use in a veterinary clinic. Just return it to us safely packaged as described above. Items returned damaged due to poor return shipping care or otherwise damaged by the customer will not be refunded.
